It was a peaceful afternoon at the park yesterday. It was not that hot even though it’s already summer. I spent my almost three hours there reading a locally authored novel. Good thing I was already home when it started to rain.

God Breaks
God breaks the soil to make plants grow.
He breaks the clouds to pour down the rain.
He breaks bread to nourish our souls.
We must then be thankful when he breaks things in our lives–
–our rhythms, our securities, our hearts…
He must be onto something great!
Mangoes
It’s summer!
I am excited for the tropical summer fruits like these mangoes.
I have actually harvested some of these mangoes
and I am waiting for them to ripen.
I can’t wait!!!
