Day Break

Our area has a signal number three yesterday when a storm passed . It was quite alarming because we had not encountered the same situation for a long time. I took the initiative of putting some of our things on a higher place because  we are anticipating a flood around our area. Authorities had warned us that due to the heavy rains that had been pouring for the past days, they might let go some of the water contained in the dam located near our place.

I woke up this morning because everyone was alarmed with the news that a lot of places near our area were flooded. Lucky for us the water did not enter our house, though there was a lot of water on the street and at our front gate. Most of the areas around the town have waist-high level of water.  Very alarming!

But the Lord gave us the sun around seven in the morning. It was so nice to see the sun after so many days of downpour. Almost half of the water level evaporated after lunch as the sun continued to shine. The water on our street was gone at around three in the afternoon.

I kept on thinking of the global warming effects… I hope we can still do something about it.

***LORD, we know that we have been uncaring about Mother Earth, that’s why we are experiencing these things. We ask you to help us do our part in saving the world where we live in. May we put our best effort in taking care of the environment. Touch our hearts each time don’t manage our garbage well, or when we care less about others because we are thinking of our personal happiness, or every time  we do a decision that would affect the environment. Make us one in this endeavor so that we can still pass a wonderful world to our children and to our children’s children. Amen.
